Continued...Over the years we have developed into specialists in the Care Homes sector, whether they are new builds, conversions or extensions. Our sister company is in the Care sector so we understand the issues facing our clients, owners and local authority as well as being familiar with the strict guidelines set in place by the Care Quality Commission. We strive to provide the best possible service and are members of various organisations to ensure we meet our client’s needs and expectations. These organisations include The Federation of Master Builders, Construction Online, The Contractors Health and Safety Scheme and Investors in People. These programmes have strict policies and procedures that we must follow in order to complete all our work to a high standard and to the customer’s satisfaction. We are committed to accessing training for all our personnel. We run apprenticeship schemes and NVQ’s training through to Level 4. We are fully subscribed to the Construction Skills Levy, which is the independent sector skills council for construction. This high training level ensures that we can always produce top quality results on our projects. |
English Construction has always placed high importance in Health and Safety. Every project is fully risk assessed by external consultants, and with the introduction of the Construction Design and Management Regulations in 2007, these considerations are paramount in the way we operate. Every scheme we undertake has an independent CDM co-ordinator who continuously inspects, monitors and audits the project at every stage. With environmental issues continuing to dominate everything we do, at English Construction we believe that it is vitally important for all our staff to buy into waste management. We have appointed a ‘Waste Champion’ who is responsible for monitoring all waste, ensuring site tidiness and the correct storage of all materials and have won numerous awards for our waste management policies. |
